“With great pleasure, I wish to thank Aspire Debate Rwanda and whoever contributed to the successful organization of this training. I’ve learnt that two other sister universities are attending, and I wish to call upon all students who are here to attach much value to this training as your future will need some of these skills to be brighter”, he noted.
David NTAMBIYE, the Executive Director of Aspire debate Rwanda saluted the management of the participating institutions for the will to set their students free for the training. He recalled the past experience whereby the art of debating contributed to the fame of Rwanda through delegating students from Rwanda to debate on a continental scale.
At the end of the training, students were given space to echo their views on a gender related topic and all proved to have acquired important skills as they argued in a relatively professional manner. Following this training, ULK students have vowed to participate to all upcoming debate competitions and win them.
It should be noted that ULK debaters have been to different African countries representing Rwanda after they had been declared national champions.
