ULK students win 7 out of 11 awards in high level book launch and awarding ceremony

On 4th April 2024 Kigali Independent University-ULK students won 7 awards out of 11 at higher learning institutions awarding ceremony and high level book launch organized by Rwanda Writers’ Federation at Kigali Convention Center. ULK’s Mutoni Clairia was awarded One million Rwandan Francs as number one among all competitors. 

 

Other ULK students who were awarded include, Niyoyita Georgette, Nshuti Esther, Iradukunda Jean Pierre, Kayiranga Mbonigaba Elie, Uwineza Joyeuse and Mushimiyimana Bishokaninkindi Jeannette.

On the same occasion the President and Founder of Kigali Independent University Prof. Dr. Rwigamba Balinda was highly recognized and awarded as one of the great supporters of Rwanda Writers’ Federations. ULK was represented by students from both of Kigali and Gisenyi campuses and among winners, all campuses were represented. 

In their remarks, the Chairman of Rwanda Writers’ Federation Hategekimana Richard and Director General of High Education Council (HEC) Rose Mukankomeje congratulated all institutions which participated in the competitions and most especially students who emerged as winners.
