Quality service delivery is something any institution strives to embrace for its success. There is an old adage which goes, “a customer is a king” and this reflects how customers are of great importance in every business. Aware of this, on 7th June 2022, Kigali Independent University and ULK Polytechnic Institute (UPI) jointly organized a public lecture to remind all employees the qualities of a good and successful servant.
The lecture was delivered by NSENGIYUMVA Jacques, the Director of Administration and Finance, who was together with the Vice Chancellor of ULK, Dr. RUSIBANA Claude and the Principal of UPI, Dr. SUMBIRI Djuma.
NSENGIYUMVA’s message was delivered through the participatory approach whereby the participants were engaged throughout the lecture so as to echo their views on a number of points.
Before disclosing the definition of quality service, the main speaker allowed the participants to share their understanding of it. Most of those who intervened came to the conclusion that quality service has to do with satisfying the needs of the person coming to you for help. On this, the main speaker added that quality service goes with doing something timely and diligently.
