RICTA VISITATION AND PUBLIC LECTURING TO THE ULK

Creating jobs is a key element of the economic pillar, as stated in NST1, which aims to generate 1,500,000 employment opportunities by 2024. Engaging the youth in programs, projects, interventions for job creation, and decent work is crucial. Their active participation is essential for greater ownership and the success of initiatives aimed at promoting decent work.

On May 16, 2023, the Kigali Independent University (ULK), specifically the School of Science and Technology, held a discussion in collaboration with the Rwanda Internet Community and Technology Alliance (RICTA) regarding youth employment opportunities. A particular focus was given to the Reseller Program, which aims to identify talented and passionate students who have an interest in Internet technologies. This program offers them a chance to become RW resellers while also earning an income. It is open to students from various fields such as computer science, electronics, and telecommunications.
