Celebrating Excellence: Kigali Independent University ULK’s 20th Graduation Ceremony and 7th ULK Polytechnic Institute Graduation.

Kigali 15th December, 2023- Kigali Independent University ULK marked a significant milestone as it celebrated its 20th December Graduation Ceremony, a momentous occasion that showcased the achievements and success stories of its graduating students. The jubilant ceremony  not only highlighted the academic accomplishments of ULK but also shone a spotlight on the achievements of the ULK Polytechnic Institute, contributing to the development of skilled professionals in various technical fields.

The ceremony kicked off with a convocation address delivered by the Vice- Chancellor Prof. Dr. NKUNDABATWARE Innocent who offered words of inspiration and encouragement to the graduates as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.

“As we stand at the culmination of your academic journey, let this be not just the end of a chapter but the prologue to a narrative of endless possibilities. Graduands, the world awaits the brilliance you bring, the knowledge you carry, and the impact you are destined to make. As ULK celebrated its 20th graduation and ULK Polytechnic celebrated its 7th graduation ceremony, it reflected on a legacy of academic excellence and a commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals equipped to make meaningful contributions to society in line with our “Science and Conscience” motto. Over the years, ULK has emerged as one of leading institutions in Rwanda, known for its quality education, innovative programs, and a dedication to fostering a culture of research and critical thinking.

The event featured graduates in academic regalia, proud families and friends in attendance, and distinguished guests sharing words of wisdom and encouragement. The ceremony encapsulated the essence of ULK’s educational journey and celebrated the diverse talents and accomplishments of its graduating class. The ceremony captured what ULK’s education is all about and celebrated the different talents and achievements of the graduating students.

A significant part of the ceremony was dedicated to recognizing the achievements of ULK Polytechnic Institute, a vital arm of the university contributing to the advancement of technical education. The institute has played a crucial role in producing skilled professionals in fields such as Land survey engineering, Electronics and telecommunication technology engineering, meeting the demands of the ever-evolving job market.

Addressing the public, Founder and President of ULK Prof. Dr RWIGAMBA Balinda acknowledged the challenges faced by students. However, He also emphasised the importance of resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Graduates were encouraged to view challenges as opportunities for growth and to continue pursuing excellence in their respective fields.

“As our graduates embark on the next chapter of their lives, I encourage them to carry the torch of knowledge with pride, to face challenges with unwavering resilience, and to contribute positively to the communities they serve”, He said.
